Stop 1

Bab Sbaa meeting

Meet near Bab Sbaa at the agreed landmark and discuss your walking pace and finish point. Start with an introduction to Essaouira's walled plan and maritime history. This experience is a local guided walk within Essaouira; a transfer from Marrakech or another city is a separate service.

Stop 2

Harbour public approaches

Walk towards the harbour along permitted public approaches to understand the fishing port and its relationship with the medina. Working access can change, so follow the guide around vessels, equipment and restricted areas. Photograph the setting respectfully without obstructing workers; a boat trip or seafood purchase is not part of this stop.

Stop 3

Medina craft streets

Enter the medina's commercial and craft streets, pausing to discuss local materials, trade and everyday life. The route includes time for questions and optional browsing without required purchases. Workshops remain independent businesses, and the tour does not promise a private demonstration or entry into every shop.

Stop 4

Sea-wall viewpoints

Enjoy the sea-wall setting and public coastal views that fit the day's access and weather. Wind can be strong on exposed sections, so bring a useful outer layer and take care on uneven surfaces. Admission to paid rampart towers or museums is separate unless specifically listed in the package.

Stop 5

Central finish

Complete the walk at the agreed central location, with orientation for your own meal, shopping or onward journey. Meals and drinks remain at your own expense. The guide can explain how to return to your meeting point, but transport to accommodation outside the agreed walking area is not automatically included.

Important: Atlantic wind can be strong. Uneven paving and steps occur; wear suitable shoes and bring a light layer. Working harbour areas and temporary closures are respected.

Good to know

Does this include the drive from Marrakech?+

No. It begins in Essaouira and is intended for travellers already staying in or visiting the town.

Can we enter the fishing work areas?+

Only public areas permitted on the day are used; restricted harbour operations are excluded.

Is entry to the Skala tower included?+

No. Paid fortification or museum admissions are separate and must fit the opening schedule.

Can we make the walk about Jewish heritage?+

This general walk can include public historical context. Dedicated site access or a specialist extended route needs separate confirmation.

What happens if it is windy?+

The guide adapts the order and sheltered stops, but coastal wind is normal. Bring a light outer layer.

Can we stop for seafood?+

Lunch is not included. You may finish with an independent meal or request a separately confirmed set-menu option.

How are groups above four guests priced?+

The base rate includes 1–4 guests. Guests 5–12 cost USD 25 per additional adult or USD 15 per additional child. Larger groups require a separate quotation.

Private tour of Casablanca for up to 16 people

We had an an amazing tour with Hesham. Our cruise had changed our port dates around and Ayoub organized one of his colleagues to help us out!
Hesham communicated very well where we would meet and had our transportation ready to meet us! With a big party of 8 it was perfect. He was conscientious on our time and we never felt rushed. We asked for a traditional Moroccan meal for lunch and it he was able to get us in to a fantastic restaurant. He was knowledgeable and detailed with the history of Casablanca. I would recommend his tour to anyone!

Ayoub was an outstanding guide, customizing a full day tour of Casablanca with a focus on Jewish sites. He created a fabulous day for our group. Highest recommendation!

7 day Moroccan Tour

Overall, our 7 day Moroccan tour was outstanding to say the least . We were able to see the imperial cities except for Meknes, experience the food , the culture , the beautiful mosques , and taking a walk at their bustling medinas and souks. We also got to experience the exhilarating hot air balloon, and camel ride, had a wonderful dinner and watch belly dancers do their exotic dancing and get to take thousand of beautiful pictures! I would like to thank our tour guide Mr Ayoub for making all these possible. He worked so hard, making arrangements for our bags , carrying our heavy luggage’s coordinating with hotel staff , since we did our own hotel booking and never once complained. He gave us restaurant recommendations and they were beyond excellent too. He allowed my group, freedom to take as much pictures as they want to, shop as long as we want. Thank you Mr Ayoub ! It was an amazing experience and a vacation to remember for the rest of our lives . Please thank our wonderful driver Mr Khalid too.
