The experience

A private journey, thoughtfully arranged

Begin at Bab Boujloud and follow the medina on foot with a guide dedicated to your party. Rather than rushing between photo stops, connect the tiled gateways, neighbourhood fountains and craft streets to the people who use them. Your route works through the historic centre toward the Nejjarine area and a tannery viewpoint, with time to pause, ask questions and take photographs respectfully.

A historic building visit adds a quieter architectural chapter when an eligible madrasa or museum is open. The chosen admission must be stated in your confirmation; mosque interiors are not part of this programme. Workshops and shop visits are optional, and you can request a route without shopping. Allow a break for lunch at your own expense before walking back to the agreed central finish. This tour starts in Fes and includes no intercity transport.

Itinerary

How your experience unfolds

01
Stop 1

Bab Boujloud and orientation

Meet your licensed guide at the agreed Fes medina entrance and discuss the route, walking pace and any mobility needs. Start around Bab Boujloud to understand the old city's layout before entering narrower lanes. Your guide explains where the walk will finish so you can plan onward travel without relying on unfamiliar alleyways.

02
Stop 2

Neighbourhoods and craft streets

Follow public neighbourhood and craft streets to see how working life fits around the medina's historic buildings. Pause for explanations and photographs where access is appropriate. Workshops and shops remain working businesses, and any purchase is your choice; the programme does not require a shopping stop or promise access inside a private workshop.

03
Stop 3

Historic architecture

Visit the historic building covered by the listed admission, subject to its opening hours and permitted access. Your guide connects its architecture with Fes's educational and commercial history. Religious buildings that do not admit visitors are explained from public areas, and the itinerary does not promise mosque interiors or restricted residential spaces.

04
Stop 4

Nejjarine and tannery surroundings

Continue through the Nejjarine area and, when available, a permitted tannery viewpoint. Expect steps, uneven surfaces and strong smells around the tanning area; tell the guide if you prefer a different public stop. Viewpoints may be reached through a shop, but entering one does not oblige you to buy leather goods.

05
Stop 5

Lunch break and central finish

Allow a lunch break at your own expense before completing the agreed medina route. Use the final section for questions, orientation and any remaining public sights that fit the pace. Finish at the agreed central exit or meeting point. Intercity travel and unlisted transfers are separate from this walking programme.

Private tour of Casablanca for up to 16 people

We had an an amazing tour with Hesham. Our cruise had changed our port dates around and Ayoub organized one of his colleagues to help us out!
Hesham communicated very well where we would meet and had our transportation ready to meet us! With a big party of 8 it was perfect. He was conscientious on our time and we never felt rushed. We asked for a traditional Moroccan meal for lunch and it he was able to get us in to a fantastic restaurant. He was knowledgeable and detailed with the history of Casablanca. I would recommend his tour to anyone!

Casablanca Jewish Heritage And Highlights

Ayoub was an outstanding guide, customizing a full day tour of Casablanca with a focus on Jewish sites. He created a fabulous day for our group. Highest recommendation!

7 day Moroccan Tour

Overall, our 7 day Moroccan tour was outstanding to say the least . We were able to see the imperial cities except for Meknes, experience the food , the culture , the beautiful mosques , and taking a walk at their bustling medinas and souks. We also got to experience the exhilarating hot air balloon, and camel ride, had a wonderful dinner and watch belly dancers do their exotic dancing and get to take thousand of beautiful pictures! I would like to thank our tour guide Mr Ayoub for making all these possible. He worked so hard, making arrangements for our bags , carrying our heavy luggage’s coordinating with hotel staff , since we did our own hotel booking and never once complained. He gave us restaurant recommendations and they were beyond excellent too. He allowed my group, freedom to take as much pictures as they want to, shop as long as we want. Thank you Mr Ayoub ! It was an amazing experience and a vacation to remember for the rest of our lives . Please thank our wonderful driver Mr Khalid too.
