Your balloon experience

Leave Marrakech before dawn for a shared hot-air-balloon flight above the countryside north of the city. After welcome tea or coffee and the crew’s safety briefing, fly for approximately 40–60 minutes, depending on wind and the pilot’s safety decisions. Views may include the Jbilet hills, villages and, when visibility allows, the Atlas Mountains.

After landing, enjoy a Moroccan breakfast in a traditional tent and receive a flight certificate. Allow approximately 4–5 hours from pickup to return. The flight and breakfast are shared with other passengers; return road transfers are shared with other passengers. No flight over the medina or particular view is guaranteed.

Stop 2

Launch-site welcome and safety briefing

Arrive at the countryside launch base for Moroccan tea or coffee while the crew prepares the balloon. Listen to the safety briefing and practise the boarding and landing instructions. The pilot assesses the weather and chooses the safe operating plan; the launch point and flight path depend on conditions.

Stop 3

Shared balloon flight · 40–60 minutes

Join other passengers for a flight of approximately 40–60 minutes above the countryside near Marrakech. Wind, visibility and the pilot’s safety decisions determine the route and duration; no medina flight or particular view is guaranteed.

Stop 4

Landing recovery and breakfast

After landing, the ground team collects the passengers and returns the group to the breakfast area. Enjoy a Moroccan breakfast beneath a traditional tent and receive a personalised flight certificate. Breakfast is served on the ground. Advise MLV of dietary requirements before booking so suitability can be checked.

Stop 5

Shared return to Marrakech

Return with the operator’s shared transport to the agreed pickup area. Allow the full morning because launch preparation, flight, recovery and other pickups take time. Keep the day flexible; a tight onward flight or another early appointment is unsuitable.

Important: Shared balloon flight and shared return transport. Children under four cannot join shared flights. Give every child's age and discuss pregnancy, recent surgery, health conditions or mobility limitations with MLV before booking so the operator can assess suitability. Boarding involves climbing into the basket and passengers normally remain standing; do not assume wheelchair access.

Wear closed, comfortable shoes and layered clothing for the early start. Follow the crew's boarding and landing instructions and secure phones or cameras. The pilot has the final decision on safe operation, launch site and route. Weather or official restrictions can prevent a flight. Rescheduling and refunds follow the cancellation terms confirmed for your booking.

What does the shared-flight price include?+

USD 200 per eligible passenger includes one shared flight place, shared return transfers, welcome tea or coffee, breakfast on the ground and a flight certificate. One guest pays USD 200 and four pay USD 800 before any applicable short-notice supplement. Every passenger needs a booked place; no private basket or private transfer is included.

Is the flight or transport private?+

The balloon basket, flight, breakfast and return transport are shared with other passengers. A booking for your party does not reserve the whole balloon or vehicle. Tell MLV if travelling together in one basket is essential so the arrangement can be checked before booking.

Who can fly and what happens in unsafe weather?+

Children under four cannot join shared flights. Tell MLV about pregnancy, health conditions and mobility limitations before booking so suitability can be assessed. The pilot decides whether conditions are safe. If weather prevents flying, rescheduling is offered; if that is not possible, 100% of the flight payment is refunded. If unsafe conditions are found at the launch site, breakfast is offered and the flight payment is refunded.

How long is the flight and is breakfast served in the air?+

Allow approximately 4 hours 30 minutes for the complete morning, including shared transfers, welcome refreshments, briefing, a flight of approximately 40–60 minutes, ground recovery and breakfast. Flight duration and return time depend on wind and safe conditions. Breakfast is served on the ground, not in the balloon.

How do payment and short-notice prices work?+

Request your date at least 48 hours ahead. We confirm flight availability and passenger eligibility before sending payment instructions. The base price is USD 200 per person. Within 7 days the supplement is 10%; within 72 hours it is 20%, with only one tier applied. Cancellation terms are provided before payment.

Weather and disruption: Weather, official closures and transport disruption may change the route or activity. Contact MLV if your service cannot operate. Any alternative, rescheduling or refund follows the stated booking terms and cancellation policy.

Booking flexibility

Cancellation policy

If unsafe weather prevents the flight, we first offer rescheduling. If rescheduling is not possible, 100% of the flight payment is refunded. If the flight is cancelled after arrival at the launch site because conditions are unsafe, breakfast is offered and 100% of the flight payment is refunded.

Cancellation less than 24 hours before the flight, or failure to attend the confirmed pickup on time: 100% of the booking amount is payable.

For cancellation 24 hours or more before the flight, and for official airspace restrictions or royal visits, the applicable refund terms must be stated before payment. No automatic refund entitlement for these situations is promised here.
